Thanks for stopping by during this month of August. As a teacher in the public school system, I know that the opening of school is right around the corner so I am relishing those last few days of summer vacation before the routine begins again.
On the right-hand side of this website, you will find the “Fun and Helpful Websites.” Please check out the most current edition of “Fulfill” magazine in this section. The entire issue deals with the word, “relish.” As the editorial states…this word, “relish” means pleasurable appreciation of anything. Some of the synonyms include “savor, gusto, and zest.” It was a joy to read through some of the articles, and especially to click on the accompanying videos and discussion questions found on the side bars of each page. This is a great tool for your own personal spiritual growth as well as a resource to use in your women’s ministry.
Psalms 34:8 comes to mind as I ponder the word, “relish.” The verse admonishes us to “taste and see that the Lord is good.” I think that qualifies as pleasurable appreciation.
I hope you will “relish” at least a few last days of summer during this month, and may your time with the Lord include “savor, gusto, and zest!”
